Say, when was the last time you heard LITHUANIAN spoken...a long time ago eh? Well here is your chance to hear both the "old" Lithuanian spoken mostly by me (he-he) and the "modern" spoken by just about everyone else.

So when is this great event to take place?.....This Tuesday, January 11, 7pm
Where? LaMadeleine restaurant in Richardson, NE corner shopping center at Coit and Campbell.

There will be a table there with the Lithuanian flag...Huh?......Lithuanian FLAG!!!.....3 horizontal stripes: top is yellow, then green and bottom is red...zzzzzzzzSleep

This will be a "work session" of your Dallas American Lithuanian Community comittee. We will discuss 2011 activity plans.
If you have any sugguestions, bring them with you.

The food is great too....very Frencheeeee(s) RollEyes

News from San Antonio:

SA Lithuanian Community traditional Christmas dinner (KUCIOS) will be held.......December 3 from 2 to 5 pm.

WHERE?....At the OBLATE RENEWAL CENTER 5700 Blanco Road, San Antonio

This is "pot-luck" (No meat other than fish) dinner. Locals will provide drinks and "plotkeles*" for all to share.

Contact LACSA chair, Venice Granthan for more information at www.ven.grant@lavernia.net

*plotkeles is sort of like communion bread, thin and white. Everyone gets a good size piece then goes around offering a pinch of ones bread and pinches the other persons bread. A hug or a handshake follows......neat eh?
