Dear Texas Lithuanians,
You are cordially invited to meet with a consular official from the Chicago Consulate in Houston from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 during the first-ever consular mission to Texas. This consular mission allows area residents to save the cost of a trip to Chicago.
During the consular mission, the consular officer will accept applications for Lithuanian passport renewal and issuance, forms for registering birth and marriage, and declarations of place of residence. In addition, persons of Lithuanian origin will be able to submit their Lithuanian citizenship applications. You must register for a time slot in advance.Anyone who wishes to meet with the Chicago consular officer in Houston during the visit can contact
karoline@konsulatag.org or call 1-312-397-0382, ext. 201 or 203.
Attached are:
(1) a press release discussing the mission and how to register for a time (Lithuanian and English),
(2) a document discussing requirements for restoring Lithuanian citizenship (English), and
(3) a citizenship application (Lithuanian).
Please feel free to call or e-mail me if you have any questions.
PLEASE spread the word to anyone you know of Lithuanian origin. The consular visit will allow people who need consular services to save the expense of a trip to Chicago. If we have good participation, this trip may become a regular occurrence.
Sincerely yours,
William C. Altman
